HALVES

You cut. The raccoon chooses. Drag one straight line across the object. Both pieces are weighed, the raccoon takes the heavier one, and your score is what you keep. Aim for exactly half.
How it works
- Weight, not area. Bones, pits and rinds are heavier or lighter than the flesh around them. The note under the object's name tells you what to watch for.
- Knock first. Tap an object up to three times before cutting. A dull thud means something dense under your finger; a hollow ring means air. The mark stays on the board.
- The fair cut. After every cut you'll see where the fair line was, at the angle you chose, drawn dashed in green next to your own.
- Daily Split gives everyone the same five objects each day, one attempt each. The Counter is an endless shift: three complaints and it's over. Practice lets you drill any object.
Common questions
I cut it dead centre and got 50.4 / 49.6. One pixel of finger movement is worth about 0.7% of the split, so a one-pixel miss reads like that. Anything within 1.0% counts as Perfect.
The cut through the middle wasn't half. On irregular shapes the visual centre is genuinely not the fair cut, sometimes by a lot. Watch the green fair-cut line and it will teach you where the weight really sits.
